Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to Kiski Area Intermediate School. The intermediate school years are a very exciting time for students. During these years, students mature and experience many changes resulting in the development of specific interests. With this in mind, our faculty has developed a rigorous curriculum within each course to ensure high levels of learning for all students. In addition, we strive to provide them with the foundation necessary to be successful in high school and beyond.
Our schedule emphasizes 63-minute Math and ELA blocks and 41-minute Science, Social Studies, and Elective classes. These courses are designed to target essential skills outlined by the state of Pennsylvania while enhancing application and creativity through extension and intervention opportunities that are built into the school day. Additionally, students will be exposed to multiple elective courses to help them identify special interests and aptitudes.
We will help our students explore new concepts, uncover new interests, develop useful skills, and, above all, we will foster this learning within a safe, caring, and positive environment. Please do not hesitate to contact our main office if you have any questions or concerns, and we look forward to seeing all of you on Thursday, August 25th for the first day of school!
Sincerely,
Michael Cardamone
